šŸŒ» How to be there for yourself

When was the last time you knew someone was
fully present, fully recognising
and appreciating your presence?Ā

When youā€™re with this person,Ā

You feel important.Ā

You feel safe.

You feel free to be…you. Ā

Ā

You know you donā€™t haveĀ
to do more or do less of anythingĀ
to deserveĀ
his or her love and attention.Ā

What is this?Ā

You know,Ā

this is love
(and it’s notĀ always romantic).

Because isnā€™t loveĀ

being there, fully present,Ā
to appreciate the person
in front of you?Ā

But some of us donā€™t haveĀ
the capacity toĀ
offer such love for another person.Ā

Because, maybe,Ā
we’ve never receivedĀ
that 100% attention and presence

with the people who’ve been with us.Ā

So we don’t know what it feels like
to be fully present for ourselves.

To be there,Ā
fully present for someone,Ā

you have to know what it feels likeĀ
to be here, fully present with yourself.Ā

Ā

Dear One
Do you want to make time to be here,
fully with yourself?

What does that even look like?

  1. paying attention to your thoughts,Ā
  2. giving yourself the safe space toĀ express and heal your emotions,Ā
  3. acknowledging your gut-feelings,
  4. investing in your self-discovery and growth,
  5. having clarity in who you are (instead of letting others defineĀ you)
  6. owning your weaknesses
  7. forgiving your mistakes and shortcomings
  8. daring to dream againĀ
<Reflection>

Dear OneĀ  how many out of 8Ā
have you been practising for yourself?Ā

Which one-thing
would you like to start practising?Ā

I amĀ fully appreciating you
for reading this far,

ValĀ
