My laptop is not okay so Iām textingĀ to youĀ
from my phone today.Ā
Thank you for bearing with me the limited text size (thereās no function for me toĀ upload any photos!).
Okay, hereāsĀ this weekās Wisdom Note
Iāve prepared for you:
You can only change
what you are
willing
to face.
ā£ā£One of my client said this to me at her 5th session with me:
āLooking back, facing my issues isnāt that scary after all. Because I know Iām not alone.āĀ ā£ā£ā£
ā£ā£ā£I remember this moment ā£Ā because looking at her, ā£Ā I see what Courage looks like.ā£
ā£Courage is ā£being willing to faceā£Ā all of ourselvesā£
ā£Even ifā£Ā we couldĀ stay the same,ā£Ā stay low,ā£Ā with status quo. ā£
ā£Especially when itād beĀ more convenient ā£ā£Ā to pretend ā£ā£everythingās okay. ā£ā£
Especially when itād beĀ easier to numbĀ ourselves
with busyness and forget our pain. ā£ā£ā£
When we stop running, ā£ā£turn around and face of ourselves,ā£ā£ the sweet and bitter,
the pretty and messy,Ā
past and present. ā£ā£
Thatās Courage.ā£ā£
ā£ā£ā£Like she said, ā£ itās not so scary ā£after all.ā£
ā£It is safe,ā£
when we face what we want to changeĀ
not alone,ā£
but with someone you feel safe withĀ
and this person *can* help you.Ā
What are the āemotional baggagesā weāve been talking about past Sundays that you need Courage to face, my dear?Ā
Is it Fear? Resentment? Guilt? Shame?Ā
Or even Apathy (numbness and meaninglessness)?Ā
Next week, I will showĀ you how you can transform these heavy baggages in your journey into the Peace, Freedom, LoveĀ and Joy you seek.Ā
For now, I encourage you to
reflect on the above Wisdom Note.Ā
Reflect and list:
1) What have you been pretending itās okay but you know itās *not okay*?Ā
2)Ā What do you want to change?Ā
3)Ā What do you know you need to face in order for (1) to be possible?Ā
Encouraging you,Ā
