Let’s have more fun
and switch it up this week 🙂
Last week,
we time-travelled backwards.
This week,
let’s time-travel forward
But first,
can you guess how old is
this Japanese lady?
(a photo I took from a forgotten Japanese magazine bought years ago)
Do you think she’s in her
60’s?
70’s…or 80’s?
Answer:
This Japanese lady is a
97 years old photographer!
As a 25 years old,
I was so inspired by her
I saved her photo in one of my
Pinterest boards titled
‘Long Live Elegance’.
I remember thinking,
‘Wow, if she could live so beautifully
inside-out,
I would love to too!’
<YOUR SOUL ASSIGNMENT>
Dear One,
what kind of lady
would you like to be
in your 90’s?
What kind of elderly lady
would you *never*
want to become?
If you feel like this is
too far ahead for you to imagine,
meet one of my mentors,
Miharu Tachibana from Tokyo
Just a few days ago, Miharu-san
celebrated her 61st birthday.
Miharu-san once shared with me
she used to be such a
sickly young lady in her 20’s,
she could not hold any job
for more than a month.
She thought she’d have to settle
for ad-hoc administrative jobs
and live in a very small world forever
…until she had a health breakthrough.
In her late 30’s,
through divine connection,
she met someone who
believed in her
and mentored her.
Miharu-san started to dream again.
She started cultivating herself and her dreams.
For 21 years now,
she is the ‘Probiotic Queen’ in Japan,
Amazon bestselling author, speaker and businesswoman.
“Valerie-san,
dreams come true!”
she’d say.
Dear One, at 61 and even 97,
you can be beautiful, happy and living
a fulfilling life that you enjoy too.
But it doesn’t happen overnight.
To age gracefully
and become a lady
who is beautiful inside-out,
is an art.
It gets better with your
lifelong commitment
to learn and practice.
It begins with your clarity
about *who* you
want to grow and become.
